Brisbane: AUCloud (ASX:SOV), in partnership with NEXTDC, is lighting up a Sovereign Bridge across the country to provide government and critical national industries secure, highspeed access to sovereign cloud services.

Recent legislation changes which extended critical infrastructure obligations across 11 different sectors mean the need for secure, sovereign services has never been higher, and AUCloud, via partnerships with global organisations is ideally placed to deliver.

Sharing the announcement with national partners and customers at a Brisbane launch event today, which included speakers from NEXTDC, Hitachi Vantara and VMware, Phil Dawson (AUCloud CEO) said “Using AUCloud’s Sovereign Bridge, partners and customers will be able to benefit from faster, more efficient, more capable and more secure local access to their sovereign workloads across Australia.”

Built to enable local access to AUCloud’s secured environments, Sovereign Bridge provides partners and customers with connectivity between their existing data centre infrastructure and AUCloud sovereign cloud services. This will save them money, time and significantly reduce security and operational risks when migrating workloads and data storage to AUCloud’s government “Certified Strategic” Sovereign Cloud environments.

“The Sovereign Bridge launch highlights the investment both AUCloud and NEXTDC have made and continue to make in Brisbane to support and secure Queensland’s digital economy. It is a critical component of our national expansion and an important milestone for Australian data security,’

Phil Dawson
Chief Executive Officer, AUCloud

NEXTDC Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, David Dzienciol, added he is excited to see Sovereign Bridge enter the market and enable businesses with an added layer of data protection and service reliability.

“We know secure connectivity is a huge consideration for our customers when it comes to how they treat their data, but equally having the confidence that same data is secure and managed locally is something taken very seriously without exception,”

David Dzienciol
Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, NEXTDC
